Job Description

Equip is a virtual program helping families recover from eating disorders at home with comprehensive, gold-standard care created by experts in the field and people in recovery. Equip’s five-person care teams include dietitians, physicians, therapists, and mentors who deliver wrap-around support to provide families healing and lasting recovery.

About the role:
The Clinical Instructor will be an experienced mental health clinician responsible for development and assisting with oversight of clinical training for Equip’s provider teams. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Training, Training Manager, and Instructional Designers to design highly effective training, evaluate outcomes of training, and support providers and supervisors who need further training.
Responsibilities will include designing and managing creation of internal trainings and supportive materials. This position will also execute live trainings for new, onboarding providers as well as providing ongoing live training to our provider teams.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the field of eating disorders, providing training and/or supervision in evidence-based treatments such as Family-Based Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and/or Enhanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy for eating disorders. The Clinical Instructor will also have strong skills in collaborating, working on teams, and speaking/presenting. Above all, you are someone who is motivated by the ultimate goal of training providers to deliver high quality evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.


    • Work with the Senior Director of Clinical Training to prioritize training initiatives for current and future clinical programming
    • Collaborate with Instructional Designers to provide clinical content for training modules, training materials, lectures, and workshops
    • Design and manage creation of internal training and training materials
    • Provide ongoing support and training for clinical teams
    • Execute live training sessions for new, onboarding providers
    • Assist in oversight of training pathways for new, onboarding providers, including updating and iterating as indicated


    • Minimum of a Master’s degree in a clinical mental health field
    • Preferred: PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
    • Experience in Family-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and/or Enhanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy
    • Experience in conducting literature searches, consuming, and evaluating research
    • Strong skills in communication and presentation
    • Experience collaborating with diverse teams
    • Organized and results-driven
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation
